Methodology

How we calculate this

The calculator multiplies rectangular area plus entered waste by each material/labor square-foot rate, prices entered railing length separately, prices only the user-entered stair add-on area with explicit stair square-foot rates, then adds the permit/design allowance. It infers no stair geometry or structure.
